The airline cancelled or changed it
If the airline cancels your flight, or moves it by 3 hours or more on a domestic trip (6 internationally), and you choose not to travel, U.S. rules say you are owed a cash refund — even on a non-refundable ticket.
We check what your fare is entitled to, state the full cost — our flat $25 handling fee plus any airline penalty — and submit the cancellation and refund request for you.
Three situations cover most cancellations. Which one you are in decides whether you get cash, a credit or nothing.
If the airline cancels your flight, or moves it by 3 hours or more on a domestic trip (6 internationally), and you choose not to travel, U.S. rules say you are owed a cash refund — even on a non-refundable ticket.
Tickets bought directly from an airline at least seven days before departure can be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours. Agencies and booking sites set their own terms — ask before you cancel.
If the flight still operates, there is no cash refund, but many airlines give the value back as a travel credit. Basic economy usually returns little or nothing.

The airline's rules for the fare you bought determine what comes back. Here is how the three types work.
Eligible for a full refund of the airfare, subject to any cancellation charge the airline itself imposes.
A portion of the airfare is refunded, minus the cancellation penalty set out in the fare rules. We quote the net amount before you decide.
The airfare is not returned. Some airlines offer a travel credit or voucher instead — we check whether yours does and what its conditions are.
Covers retrieving the reservation, checking the fare rules to confirm whether it can be cancelled, and submitting the cancellation to the airline on your behalf.
Our booking fee pays for the search, advice and booking work already done, so it is not returned once a booking has been confirmed — whether or not the airfare is refundable. In exceptional circumstances, such as a booking error on our side, we may refund it in full or in part at our discretion.

An agent checks the fare rules, tells you whether a refund, a credit or nothing is due for the airfare, and states the full cost of cancelling: our $25 fee plus any airline penalty.
We cancel and submit the refund request only after your approval. Refunds are returned by the airline to the original payment method — typically 7–21 business days for credit cards and 5–10 for debit cards after the airline approves.
It depends on the fare you bought. Fully refundable fares are refunded in full subject to any airline cancellation charge; partially refundable fares are refunded minus the airline's penalty; non-refundable fares return no airfare, though some airlines offer a travel credit. We check your fare rules and tell you which applies before we cancel anything.
A flat $25 cancellation handling fee, charged only if we go ahead with the cancellation. It is separate from any airline penalty and from the $20–$35 booking fee, which is non-refundable once a booking is confirmed. If the booking cannot be cancelled, or you decide not to proceed, there is no handling fee.
Credit-card refunds typically take 7–21 business days from the date the airline approves the refund; debit-card refunds typically 5–10 business days. Other payment methods vary and our agent will advise at the time.
When an airline cancels your flight you are generally entitled to a full refund of the airfare and taxes regardless of fare type, or an alternative flight, and in some cases travel credit. Contact us as soon as you are notified and we will claim the refund or rebook with the airline for you.
You can almost always cancel it — the real question is what comes back. On a non-refundable fare the airline usually keeps the base fare, and some carriers issue a travel credit instead. Government taxes and airport fees are often still refundable even when the fare itself is not. We check the fare rules on your ticket and tell you the actual figure before anything is cancelled.
That is usually the worst option available. A no-show typically forfeits the fare, and on many airlines it automatically cancels the rest of the itinerary including your return flight. If you know you cannot travel, cancelling beforehand almost always leaves you better off than simply not turning up. Call +1 (570) 599-6951 before departure.
Often yes, although some airlines will not split a reservation. Where it is allowed, the cancelled passenger is assessed on their own fare rules while everyone else keeps their seats. We confirm whether your airline permits it before quoting, since the answer changes both the refund and the fee.
The airline booking reference (PNR) and the last name on the ticket. We retrieve the reservation, confirm it can still be cancelled, and tell you what the airline will refund and what it will keep. Our flat $25 handling fee applies on top of the airline's own penalty, and we state the complete total before cancelling anything.
